Pickering Rotary Club ran a Rotary District Competition for young people at Lady Lumley's School on Tuesday evening 19th February. Very cogent and well researched presentations were given by the students from Lady Lumley's School; Malton School; Ryedale School; Scarborough College and St.Augustine's R.C. School, Scarborough.
In the Junior section (11-13yrs old) Scarborough College came first.
In the Intermediate section (14-15yrs old) St Augustine's pupils were the winning team and the Senior section ( 16-17yrs old) was won by Malton School.
All participating students received a book token and certificate. The winning teams were also presented with a trophy by the club President, Sue Harris.
