Community Service

Bury Abbey Rotary Club are involved in many aspects of the local Community, Raising Funds, helping run events and supporting many local good causes.


The club was awarded a top prize in the recent Community Awards sponsored by the Bury Free Press and local businesses. We were awarded Best Event by a Community Group for the Classic Car Show at Culford, this reflects the central role that Bury Abbey plays in the community.

We often help other charities and organisations to acheve their aims. For instance recent work with the Abbey Gardens group replanting beds around the towns war memorial, helping Suffolk Young Carers to deliver exciting and memorable outings for their clients, working on the Depden Care farm to help them keep the infrastucture in good shape. 

Every year we hold a charity celebration evening when all of the good causes we help get together to shareideas and celebrate their contribution to our Town
