Bury Abbey Rotary Club President, Jill Badman, and Nic Hardy, Chair of the Fundraising Committee were delighted to present Sally Daniels from myWiSH, the West Suffolk Hospital’s charity, with a cheque for £3,200 being their share of the proceeds from the online auction they held before Christmas. Over 100 lots were donated and more than £7,200 was raised to be shared amongst local charities. Nic thanked everyone who donated a Lot or who bid ‘we were delighted with the outcome, especially in these difficult times, but there were some wonderful ‘money can’t buy’ Christmas present opportunities on offer’.
myWiSH will be allocating the money to the specialist community neurology physiotherapist to assist patients living with Parkinson’s Disease. The specialist equipment that will be bought will help patients with mobility issues and help prevent the risk of falling.
