Bury Young Chef wins District Competition

Ben Templeton the winner of our local Young Chef competition has won the District 1080 competition and went on to compete in the Regional Final On Sat 10th March.

Westley student Ben Templeton aged 12, cooked an amazing 3 course meal, to beat off the stiff competition from around the district. His menu of spicy pumpkin soup, duck breast with plum sauce, and chocolate fondant pudding impressed the judges. Ben took part in the Regional final of Youing Chef in Redbridge on Saturday 10th March. He worked hard to produce some great cooking but sadly the competition was of a very high standard and Ben was the youngest contestant by some margin, he was unable to progress further in the competition, this year. We very much hope that Ben will have another go next year  thanks for being a great contestant Ben, and keep up with your cooking!
