Rotarians Bring Christmas Cheer to Residents of the Stagenhoe Neurological Centre

The Rotary Club of Hitchin Tilehouse has continued its longstanding tradition of delivering Christmas presents to the residents of the Brainkind Stagenhoe Neurological Centre in St Paul's Walden.

Stagenhoe Christmas 2025

A group of Rotarians visited on Monday 15th December and brought with them a gift for each resident which had been carefully selected and lovingly wrapped by long-standing Tilehouse member Robert Houghton and his wife Janet.  "We've been doing this for several years now" commented Robert, "it's intended to brighten the Christmas season and we enjoy chatting with staff and residents".

This year the visitors from Tilehouse met with resident and budding comedian Katie, who delivered a non-stop barrage of jokes, ensuring there was much laughter, and Spurs fan Ross who was less happy hearing that Robert is an Arsenal fan!

Tilehouse President John Morgan said "The annual visit to Stagenhoe remains one of the most meaningful events in the Club’s calendar, Christmas is a time for kindness and connection, and we are proud to continue this tradition.  A special thank you goes to Stagenhoe Activities Assistant Louise Pateman for hosting us again this year.”

Brainkind Stagenhoe Park provides residential nursing and rehabilitation for those with an acquired brain injury, and a range of other neurological conditions such as Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis.  Please visit their website brainkind.org for further information.
