Joint summer fete with Dalkeith Rotary club

Sun, Aug 9th 2026 at 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Summer fete to be held at Clark Watson’s house featuring a hot buffet, traditional summer fete games and live music.

Despite the rain on Sunday 8th August, Esk Valley Rotary club members, fellow Rotarians from Dalkeith Rotary club and assorted friends and family enjoyed a joint summer fete raising funds for MyPAS. The inclement weather didn’t dull the enthusiasm with which everyone enjoyed some traditional fete games including guess the weight of the cake and number of sweets in a jar, splat the rat, bean bag toss and a croquet showdown which was won this year by Esk Valley rotary. Delicious food was eaten and the sun even made an appearance during pudding before we listened to some excellent live music.

Thanks to the generosity of those present buying tickets for the raffle and the sweet treats, once the monies have been tallied we hope to donate a considerable sum of money to MyPAS.

A great afternoon of fellowship and pulling together to man the gate, set out the food and tidy up afterwards and to run the games made for a great event.
