Bradford Sea Cadets Annual Awards

Wed, Apr 1st 2026 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Bradford Blaize sent 2 cadets on an Ocean Youth Trust North sailing in October 2025. John Barrow was invited to their annual award ceremony where our donation was acknowledged.

Bradford Sea Cadets group held their Annual Awards Presentation Night at their Headquarters on 1st April 2026.

RC Bradford Blaize had sponsored two of the Sea Cadets for a Voyage, led by Ocean Youth Trust, sailing up the North Sea coast, and returning via the Farne Islands.

The Cadets, Rylee Lusher, and Dillon Metcalfe enjoyed a wonderful trip with 12 Rotary Candidates, which took place in October 2025, delayed from August due to unavailability of the Captain. They are pictured here with their Commanding Officer, S/Lt (SCC) Noel Waterhouse, during the Presentation, when the sponsorship received from Bradford Blaize was noted.

The Presentation of a new presentation ‘Poppy’ Trophy was made to the Cadets group by representatives of the British Legion, who noted that both Nationally, and also in Bradford, the sums raised in 2025 exceeded Donations given in previous years.

The Guest of Honour was Professor Adeeba Malik CBE HM Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, who, along with her Deputy, presented Certificates and Shields to Members of the Group.
