The Ilkley Golf Club course was designed with input from Dr. Alister Mackenzie, then a member of Ilkley Golf Club who went on to design many other premier courses, including assisting Bobby Jones in the design of Augusta National Club, home of the US Masters Golf tournament.
As in previous years the format is Teams of four players. The competition is played in the Stableford format off a full valid club handicap adjusted for Slope. The two best scores per hole count on the first nine holes, the three best scores on the next six holes and all four scores on the last three holes.
The entry fee of £350 per team of 4 covers the green fee, a running buffet and a free bar at the 12th tee as well as attractive prizes for the best 3 teams, Nearest the Pin and Straightest Drive. All profit raised on the day helps to support local and other Rotary charities.
