Free Blood Pressure Testing at Boots in The Broadway Bradford

Blaize, together with St John Ambulance and the Stroke Association, provided free blood pressure tests in The Broadway Centre in Bradford from 10:00am to 3:00pm.


Boots the chemist kindly made one of their consultancy rooms in the premises in The Broadway Centre in Bradford available to carry out the measurements in comfort and privacy.

St John Ambulance was will in attendance to carry out the blood pressure tests and give advice where necessary. 60 people had their blood pressure taken and one third of these individuals were recommended to see their doctor.

Every year there are approximately 152,000 Strokes in Britain. High blood pressure is the biggest risk factor for a stroke. Most people affected are over 65, but anyone can have a stroke including children and even babies. A stroke can happen out of the blue and its effects can last a lifetime.

You can considerably reduce the chances of a stroke by having your blood pressure measured. It’s simple, quick and painless.
