Plans for the Year

Barry Smith (Chair), David Burrows

Club meetings
We continue to have a good attendance at our weekly meetings. Excluding the away days, our attendance at Northcliffe is just over sixteen per week, which equates to 80%.

Following a meeting with the Club manager, which David initiated, we have agreed to an increase in the meal charge to £18 as from the first meeting in July.

We have also made the Club aware of the need to cater for our Diabetic members.

When the Club has a Golf tournament or there is a gathering following a funeral, car parking can be a problem. Roger has tried to get the Club to allow those with walking difficulties, the opportunity to use the spaces reserved for Club Directors/Officers, but so far without success. We need to continue to pursue this with the Club.

All members are aware that they need to notify David by 11.00am on the Tuesday if they are not attending the meeting. We are charged on the number given on the Tuesday, so a reminder that any cancelations after that time will have to be paid for.

Annual subscription
The proposal for the Annual Subscription for 2026/2027 is for it to remain at the present level of £130.00. This will mean the Club Funds will be c£1,900 at the end of the year.

Outside meetings
We continue with outside meetings, especially at Audley.

Maybe we can get a programme of events at the Golf Club so we know when there is a Golf Tournament and we can arrange an outside meeting, which might help with the car parking issue.
