Fellowship

Rotary is not just about doing good deeds but also about enjoying yourself and this committee organises social activities. This page contains an archive of some of our activities.

The Hello/Goodbye has still to be arranged – more details soon.

East Riddlesden Hall will host the performance of “Hamlet” by The Lord Chamberlain’s Men on 14 August, which we will attend.

The District Conference will be held at Scarborough on the weekend of 4th/5th October and I hope we can get a group to attend. Always a good fellowship weekend.

We need to have a discussion about the Christmas/New Year party. Do we continue to hold it in its current format and look to someone to host it or do we look for an external venue? Janet and Mike have generously hosted in recent years, but there is a lot to organise and going forward, maybe we need to look for an external venue.

We will also organise another Games Evening at the Rawdon Conservative Club, sometime in April 2025.

During 2025 to celebrate the City of Culture, there are going to be numerous events in the City, so we will keep a watchful eye on the programme.

Hopefully!! the new Odeon will open and I hope we can arrange a visit to see an appropriate performance in 2025.After seeing the development as it progressed, it will be great to see the finished product.

If any members have suggestions for other events/visits, please let me know
