Bradford Rotary Club working with
Heaton Woods Trust to create The Rotary Adventure Playground
The Rotary Club of Bradford has provided Heaton Woods Trust with £1,960 to create an adventure playground. The venture will be developed using, so far as practicable, natural local timber.
The Rotary Club used £1000 of the money it raised from local collections and activities as a basis for seeking additional money from a Rotary Yorkshire District fund. The monies received from the District topped up the Clubs donation to the estimated cost of the project.
The project was started by last year’s President, Manoj Joshi and continued by current President Alan Rogers
The Rotary Club of Bradford have long been supporters of Heaton Woods Trust but this donation is by far the most significant amount ever donated. Rotary President Alan Rogers said “Our Club is delighted to support this project which will be of benefit to local people”.
Chair of the Heaton Woods Trust, Richard Palframan is delighted with the donation which will lead to the creation of a facility that otherwise would have been outside the scope of the Trust to finance.
Bradford Rotary Club welcomes new members, both men and women.
