Bradford Rotary Club supports The Bradford Soup Run
On 12 November 2014 President Manoj Joshi of the Rotary Club of Bradford presented John Tempest, Director of The Bradford Soup Run with a cheque for 2000.The handover took place at the Soup Run headquarters in central Bradford.
Half the money was raised locally by the Rotary Club of Bradford and the other half came from a successful application for a special grant from the Rotary Foundation through the Yorkshire Rotary District.
For The Bradford Soup Run, Director John Tempest writes: We are reliant for our survival on the generosity of organisations like Rotary, and their fantastic donation of 2,000 will be used to provide for the increasing numbers on our Soup Runs. Our thanks go to all those who contributed.
Over the last three years the Rotary Club of Bradford have raised over 30,000, two thirds of which has gone to local Bradford charities. Most of the rest has gone to support disaster relief and ongoing Rotary projects overseas.
