We have received confirmation from the Warsaw Wilanów International
Rotary club telling us how the funds we sent to them in March have been used. The amount sent from the Cardiff clubs included the donations received during our collection in the St David's Centre, personal donations from members and several other Club donations.
"The Warsaw Wilanòw club has bought a refurbished microscope which is now in
operation at the No1 Hospital in Odessa. The Zeiss OPMI Vario S88 microscope is a
very sophisticated one which is used in brain surgery to identify shrapnel and other
damage caused during the war. It is believed to be one of only three such microscopes in Ukraine."
