Aid to Ukraine

We have recently been involved in helping fellow local Rotary clubs, Newton Abbot and Braunton Caen in gathering various essential items and PPE for transport to Poland and Hungary for onward transmission to Ukraine.

This was coordinated at very short notice by Rotarian Peter and his wife Val.

We estimate that around £10,000 worth of goods were donated by members and friends - a truly marvellous effort - many thanks to all concerned.

All items reached their destination by mid April thanks to the  efforts of local Rotarians and Rotary clubs in the area.  This is one of the benefits of being part of an international organisation.

We have not rested on our laurels.  At Christmas 2022 we sent a number of gift boxes to Ukraine with the Plymouth Ukraine Medical Aid organisation.

We have also established links with the local group of Ukrainians who are now living in Plymouth and we look forward to developing this relationship.
