The Quiz evening at the Glen Parva
War Memorial Hall, went well with well in excess of 60 participants who scratched
their heads over some challenging questions!
Mary has received lots of e mails
saying how much the evening was enjoyed.
The fish and chips were excellent and
David was told The Blaby Chippy had not catered for so many before - extra
staff helped box all the meals which David fetched and, thanks to Chris, Lesley
and Deb for helping with the distribution.
Mary sent her thanks to those who
donated so many lovely prizes.
The princely sum of £788 was raised for our two
local charities - South Leicester Foodbank and South Wigston Salvation Army.
President Stuart thanked all who took part and gave a particular thanks
to Deb and quiz master Nigel Terrett for their hard work.
