Owl Boxes

  • Oct 2024  - 1 owl nest boxes re-installed at Wyggeston Wood                                   

Pond work at Wyggeston Wood               

  • October 2024 - . Short drainage pipe laid 07 October to aid flow of water into the pond. Further pipe laying will follow over the coming months.

Garden Projects

  • Summer 2025  - Aigburth Care Home - weeding and tidying residents garden
  • Alderman Richard Hallam Primary School - The Club has donated seeds, pots and compost for the school’s wildflower meadow.
    The school has also started a garden club being most grateful for the Club’s donations of topsoil, compost and garden tools.

  • September 2025 LRI oncolgy unit planting and weeding...

    Fruit & Native Tee Planting

    • 03 March 2024 - Planted native fruit trees in Knighton Green with Knighton Wild.  The project was funded by the award of a DEMG with the balance of expenditure contributed by Knighton Wild. Thanks to Adam’s Apples of Cullompton and Goscote Nurseries of Cossington for supplying heritage apples trees and a local plum tree respectively.
    • 23 & 28 March 2024 - More fruit tree planting.
    • March 2025 - Planted 10 trees at Aldermen Richard Hallam  School to replace those that had to be cut down last summer. The trees and supports were financed by the Club.
