The Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill makes an early start with their Christmas festivities.

The Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill has made donations to some of the local charities that help to make Christmas an enjoyable time for the many families in Rayleigh, Hockley and Hullbridge who sometimes struggle during the festive season.

The club made a donation of £100 to RRAVS to ease the demand on their services at this particularly busy time of year. RRAVS provide help and guidance to many individuals and organisations in Rayleigh and who, during the Christmas period, make many efforts to help families, who may not have lots of money, to still have a happy, enjoyable Christmas experience. In particular RRAVS is supporting the new Rehoboth Family Food Bank Pantry initiative during the Christmas period.

The club also made a donation of £100 to the Equal People charity, a charity that is best known for supporting the Mushroom Theatre Company. The Theatre Company was founded with the aim of promoting the social and therapeutic benefits of the Performing Arts to children of all abilities, disabled and non-disabled alike.

This year, as a new initiative, the Equal People charity will hold a Christmas Dinner for young people who are leaving the care system.
