Skittles Social Evening
Organised by the Youth team, an evening of fun was had by all.
On Friday 18 April 2026 many members attended a Social event.
Arranged by the Youth team, an evening of fun and laughter while playing a serious game of Skittles at Burton Bridge Brewery. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the room had been revamped and looked so much brighter than previous visits.
We were all separated into two teams in a democratic process of choosing a piece of paper with a number on it.
After a couple of throws it was time for supper. Fish and chips, pie and chips or fishcake and chips. Together with various sauces etc.
Jayne and Helen collected them from the chippy and they were still hot when we all got tucked in.
Once they were eaten the game continued. At the end of two rounds it was decided that another round should be played opposed to a sudden death round.
The winners were:
Ladies Paula Davis and runners up Sue Cornell & Elaine Anderson. Elaine graciously declined so Sue was the lucky bottle winner.
Men: Hugh Milward and runners up Helmut Rath and Alan Edwards. Hugh declined so both runners up got the prizes.
A very enjoyable evening.
