Treekly Challenge

Walk 5000 steps daily

Treekly team with a mangrove

A challenge was made by District 1070 Rotary Envoc team Lead.

Clubs were asked to make up teams of up to 5 members willing to walk 5000 steps daily. For every day that the target is reached a mangrove tree is to be planted. The steps were recorded on the Treekly app.

The five members that took part were Club Envoc team leader, Bob Cornell, Kevin Sanders, Kevin Green, Alan Edwards and President Julie Kydd.

Within the challenge parameters 3218 trees were planted by the District participants.

The Club team, aptly named Castle Strollers finished third in the District, planting a total of 144 trees by registering 1 436 329 steps in total.

In recognition we have been awarded £50.00 for our charity account.
