Our First Corporate Member
We are delighted to welcome our first Corporate Member
Congratulations to Specsavers on becoming Ashby Castle Rotary Club’s first corporate member.
We were especially pleased to induct Pramit Pancholi, Director of Audiology at Specsavers as the leader of our First Corporate member of our Club. His colleague Optometrist Director of Optometrist Kuljinder Bains will also be involved.
Pramit’s career started in primary care with GP’s and hospitals. He moved into practice care in 2018 and came to Ashby as Director of Audiology in February this year. His spare time is spent between his love of sport and knowing the importance of family and friends. This has led to his ethos that “ patients’ quality of life” is in the forefront of all he does. Developing the audiology side of Specsavers in Ashby will allow, in the New Year, a flexible 7days a week service and the company has gone from strength to strength in the town.
So why becomes a corporate member and more importantly what is it?
Pram and Kully have attended Rotary meetings and sponsored events in the town and felt the organisation reflects their Specsavers philosophy. We know companies are very busy and although corporate membership allows their designated member to attend meetings if and when they may wish, the most important aspect is to allow them and their employees to give greater voluntary service to the community.
Corporate membership expands Rotary’s connections with local businesses and creates stronger community links. It allows for broaden a pool of skills and resources to support community activities in Ashby, not only with the recent Santa Sleigh and Santa Fun run but throughout the year with many events in the local area that you will have seen that involve the Rotary club. Companies have an environmental, social and Governance policy ( ESG) and a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and working with our Rotary Club, with its trusted link with the local community, provides this opportunity for all employees of the company. By working together, it allows” ideas to be turned into action” both locally and globally.
