Our” home grown” 1070 District Governor Chris Knight
Our Club is very proud to have Club member Chris Knight to be this year’s Rotary District Governor of 1070
Chris is a hugely committed Rotarian who has served the Club as President and secretary for many years and has been a key player during our Christmas Santa Sleigh event throughout December each year. Paul Harris Fellow Chris became District Governor at our District Conference in June in Sunny Scarborough. Chris is also a most active supporter of all District activities, past and present. His main charities this year are Rainbows, St Barnabus Hospice, and Mary’s Meals.
The pictures show Chris at the handover from last year's governor, David Kendrick, on the bandstand at Scarborough Spa, the club attending the gala conference dinner, and Chris with his own club at the induction of Margaret Hawksworth as this year's club president alongside Mark Arjoo, the outgoing club president.
