Details of our work with the Community
Community Service Team 2025/2026
The aims and objectives for the Community Service Team for the Rotary Year 2025/2026, are as follows:
- To serve and support the community of Ashby de la Zouch and the surrounding area, through a multitude of planned or spontaneous events, in whatever role is required of us.
These include Remembrance and Armistice Day, Conker’s Fireworks, Ashby 20, Ashby Steam Fair, and the other events that take place on The Bath Grounds.
- To support and participate in as many club events, projects, and
initiatives as possible.
- To work and support other local Rotary Clubs, other Rotary Clubs in District 1070, and beyond.
- To work in conjunction with other local statutory bodies and voluntary organisations.
- To make it an enjoyable and successful Rotary year for our President and the club as a whole.
- To have fun and enjoy fellowship with our fellow members and the members of other Rotary Clubs.
- To promote the name of Rotary and the excellent work it carries out locally, nationally, and internationally.
- To uphold both the Four Way Test and the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.”
- We will look to promote our club locally by exploring the possibility of a permanent sign at a strategic location in the town.

We will organise and/or look to get involved with the following fundraising events:
Zamani’s Summer Social
Santa Fun Run and Walk
Santa Sleigh Runs
