Calling all Young Musicians

It’s time for Music, whether you are just starting or have played all your life and you (or child,  grandchild, pupil) are under 18 and would like to showcase your talent in a local venue.

The Young Musician is a competition held annually by Ashby Castle Rotary Club and it open to all young people. There are three categories depending on age and it’s a great opportunity to share your love of music in a friendly environment, whatever level you are. A huge advantage is that our expert judges give encouraging, impartial and positive feedback. Entries can be from solos, instruments or vocal, choirs, bands …you name it we will have it!

Comments from previous performers were

“ It helped me gain confidence in public”

“It helped me improve my performance in areas I had not thought of”

“ I was a bit scared at first, but everyone was friendly and I actually enjoyed myself”

These comments show that taking part even if you don’t win( although a nice shiny shield would be nice one day )  is just as vital as it can helps you along your music journey.

This event will take place on Tuesday 10^th November in Ashby School Lecture Theatre at 5.00pm. If you are interested in knowing more about this and you need an  application forms please contract  John on sedgers@hotmail.com
