Coats4Kids

Provision of warm winter coats to those in need

Coats4Kids aims to give each recipient child a brand new quality coat to keep them warm in the winter so that they dont have to miss out on being children.

A simple warm coat:

  • Will boost a childs confidence
  • Prevent them from being bullied
  • Allow the child to be ready for learning
  • Join in at playtimes without worrying about being cold
  • Relieve some of the financial pressure on the family

Coats4Kids is a scheme whereby vouchers are purchased and passed to Parents or Carers of children in need of a warm winter coat.

In conjuction with the District Scheme organiser 1070 eClub, we initially purchased 10 vouchers. Subsequently our application to Rotary Foundation for matching funding was approved and we have now purchased an additional 10 vouchers.

The recipient families have been identified only by the school so that the children will not know that they are wearing a charity coat

We are delighted to have been able to offer 20 children from a local school a warm coat for the winter in these difficult financial times.
