At a handover meeting earlier this month, President Ann Jones handed over the chain of office to the new president, Mike Jewkes.
Ann, who had been the first woman to be president of the club, said her time in office had flown by and she was especially proud of the £15, 000 the club had raised for Ukraine, as well as continuing to support local charities such as Women’s Aid, First Responders and Lawrence House. All these projects followed the Rotary International theme for the year ‘Serve to Change Lives’.
Mike said he was looking forward to being president for the second time and was wished every success for the months ahead.
