Our President (Graham Sopp) has chosen the Godalming & Villages Community Store as his "Charity of the Year".
This week, Graham made a very generous donation on behalf of the Woolsack Club of £1,000 to the Chair of the Community Store (Estelle Spencer) to ensure that their clients will have access to fresh fruit and vegtables over the Christmas period.
This donation will fund vouchers that the Community Store clients can exchange for fresh fruit and vegtables at DMF Fruits (owned by Danny Taylor),when they operate at the Pepperpot in Godalming.
To add to the collaboration between the 3 parties, Danny has also offered to provide a 10% discount on the any produce purchased using the vouchers.
What a great example of collaboration in the local community.
