Loading a container at the Emmanuel Church, Stoughton bound for The Gambia

Four Woolsack Rotarians, Simon, Tony, Graham, Tim, joined a group of happy church volunteers and others in Stoughton recently to load redundant church furniture into a full size sea container. The hire of the container and the cost of the passage to The Gambia were arranged by Ryan Kelley through a charitable trust.

It was a brilliant day of sunshine and in less than three hours an enormous quantity of chairs, tables, cabinets, books, medical equipment and much else besides was moved from the church and into the container. Not a cubic centimetre of container space was wasted. And lest you think this is an easy job, just look at the sequence of photos to see what was involved.

The picture above shows a very happy team at the end of a job well done.
