The Rotary Club of Godalming Woolsack’s 21st Charity Golf Day was played in glorious sunshine on the 7th of May at West Surrey Golf Club.
Although we were down on numbers, the ten teams had a great day and the proceeds from the event raised around £4,000 for our two charities - 'Rotary South Cut out Cancer' and 'The Green Hub'.
The winning score was 91 points and the WS Misfits took home the coveted Woolsack Rose Bowl (pictured) with West Surrey Captain Phil Murray also shown on the right-hand side.
We were also delighted that Downs Solicitors sponsored the day and our thanks also to local companies who sponsored tee-boxes and to local golf clubs for providing us with complimentary rounds to auction.
Finally a big thank you to all the Woolsack team for their support on the day and for stocking the excellent raffle.
Until next year!!
more Following the death of Her Majesty the Queen, we took the difficult decision to cancel the Duck Race consistent with the period of National Mourning. We selected the winners by draw instead. We plan to be back on the water in 2023.
more Some 5 years ago our fundraising committee had the idea to raise some funds and at the same time to provide a lot of fun with plate smashing.

back We like to provide some financial support to charities and other good causes in their work, so we have a programme of fundraising each year for this purpose.
