Ukrainian musical evening

Sat, Aug 20th 2022 at 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Maria Yaremak (composer, singer) and Izabella Ivashchenko (vocalist) have prepared a special performance about Ukraine, where they would like to share the soulfulness of their people and show the beauty of their lands, as well bringing people’s attention

A musical evening will take place in St James Church, Silsoe, Bedfordshire, MK45 4DR on Saturday the 20th of August starting at 19:30. It is definitely worth attending if only to see if can be repeated elsewhere.

For this they have combined live performance, video and the stories of eye-witnesses into a single production to immerse people into an atmosphere of art and emotions - languages that can be understood without words.

The Ukrainian language is considered one of the best-sounding in the world, but how does their music sound? They sing both in joy and in sorrow. If someone asked them to describe their region in a few words, what would they say?   Or what kind of music would they create, trying to describe Ukraine with melodies and sounds?

Please feel free to come and enjoy the evening.  Donations will be used to support the ladies’ charities of choice un Ukraine
