Bedfordshire Open Door is committed to offering an accessible, confidential and free professional counselling service to young people living in Bedfordshire. Their aim is to enable young people to manage their own lives with confidence and safety.
They have been established for over 25 years delivering free and confidential counselling to young people aged 13 to 25 years. They have a dedicated Board of volunteer Trustees who oversee the strategic and financial aspects of the organisation, an experienced professional management and administration team and 33 counsellors, many of whom offer their time and expertise as volunteers. They are a registered charity no. 1053008 and a limited company no. 3157152.

In 2018-19 they offered 3,423 counselling sessions to 468 young people, a 40% increase on the previous year 96% of their clients felt that counselling helped them to understand their feelings and 91% said they offer a welcoming environment.
