Brian Gray Memorial Canal walk and dinner

Wed, Jul 26th 2023 at 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Walk along part of the Montgomery Canal followed by a meal.
Friends and guests welcome but let Chris know well in advance.

The walk this year will start at Schoolhouse Bridge on Long Lane, Crickheath, which is currently being rebuilt and should by then have the top section on. We’ll follow the towpath through the section currently being restored, then gasp with wonder and joy at the section that was restored over the last few years and officially opened by Helen Morgan MP at the beginning of June. We will finish walking by Canal Central, drive back to pick up cars then drive to the Original Ball to meet the non-walking members. The walk is only about 2.5 miles but should just whet our appetites.
