2024 Event CANCELLED
At 10.30 am 6th December the decision was made to cancel the Christmas Parade for 2024. The safety of everyone involved was paramount when studying the forecasts for the incoming Storm Barragh.
It is a great disappointment for all of us. Perhaps also a relief, when thinking of the usual floats trying to cope with such strong winds and rain.
Planning has already started for next year's Christmas Parade.
A major event for the town, which brings in crowds from miles around. The fun celebration at the start of the Christmas season is on the first Saturday in December. The responsibility and massive organisation is by Borderland Rotary.
