"Michael, my son, professional photographer and video maker, has sent me today this edited version to keep it under a minute. I made a reference to Captain Tom, and Michael asked the question "Have you reached £34 Million?" My spontaneous answer, as I did not know he was going to ask that question, was "I haven't counted it yet!"............The two big things for me were:
(a) the friendliness and generosity of total strangers I approached. I only had one refusal. All I did was to approach and receive a very unpleasant nod to say NO! I hadn't said a word!
(b) I was pleasantly surprised that so many people knew about Cornwall Mind. That Mind operated nationally by Counties was another pleasant surprise.
Overall, I had a very humbling and rewarding experience from my fellow human beings.............In my maturity I have no problem in telling you that I was quite tired when I got home again. I had been out for about 8 hours, including a rest with a pint and a pasty at Marazion.
I really did enjoy a long restful bath before going to bed. I had one of the best sleeps for a very long time!
Thank you all for your support in enabling me to complete the walk and to raise an as yet unspecified amount.
Terry"
