Zennor to St. Ives. A severe test.

Frank and Mike B. give it a go.

Frank writes...."Mike Barber and I walked from Zennor to St Ives this morning - 6 miles which took us 3 hrs.  A very remote stretch of the coastline, quite steep in parts where we had to clamber over large boulders and also boggy in places.  The celebratory pint back at the Tinners Arms, Zennor proved to be restorative.  Mike had then to drive back to Truro to pick up his son Jude, so I decided to drive to Pendeen Watch and walk to Morvah and back, thus completing this section.  As I was unsure where Mike G had left the path when walking from Zennor, I overshot Morvah a little to make absolutely certain, turning just after the Chair Carn.  This walk was just under 2 miles each way - some photos to follow. Cheers  Frank

Portheras Beach two photos then Bosigran Crags with Commando Ridge in the foreground - happy climbing memories. I think this is Chair Carn, my turning point, Morvah village, and return to the beach and Pendeen lighthouse.
