Brian retraces his steps of previous years along this lovely section of the path from Porthcurno to Lamorna.

1 The walkers Emma/Claire/Alice after climbing to the clifftop from Porthcurno - in the background Logan Rock barely visible but since we left St.Agnes in the fog and were forecast rain we were delighted

2 On our way down to Penberth Cove - the eagle-eyed might even see Jenny chatting to the fishermen as they hauled in their catch of spider crabs. If you do not know Penberth Cove you must go. We think the fishermen we met could have been in the recent TV series about fishermen's lives.

3 The boulder beach at St.Loy where the coast path goes for 50 metres-ish over the boulders at the top of the (sandless) beach. No vehicle access to this beach although it might seem possible from OS map but a 700metre wooded valley provides access for walkers. You can admire the private (and large) gardens of two grand 'cottages' with fine sea views.

4 The lighthouse of Tater-du - opened in 1963 - England's latest. Is this path leading up or down?

more If you like walking on an irregular boulder field of slippery serpentine polished smooth by a million boots, at a 45% angle, then the first 2 miles out of Coverack is just the place for you. But there is a "Bale Out" path higher up!
