Tonight we have a very interesting speaker who is going to enlighten us with a history of the DUKW, the name is derived from D indicating the model year (1942), U is the body style, K for all wheel drive and W for rear axles. I have tried in vain to find a royalty free picture of one of these fabulous versatile vehicles so you will have to make do with a photo of a duck!
