Rotary Becket celebrated their 38th birthday on Saturday 14th March 2026

Rotary Becket celebrated with an Oscars themed evening at the Freemasons Hall.

There was a drinks reception with portrait photos of guests in their finery followed by an excellent 3 course meal. Entertainment was provided by G&D Duo singing to live music.

A well-deserved Long Service Award was given to John Saynor for his 35 years of service. An Avenue of Service Award for Robert Martell and a Sapphire Paul Harris Award for Nick Mabey were given for exemplary service by President Lynn and President Elect Jackie. It was a glamorous evening with fun, dancing and good humour.

A charity set up by Rotary Becket set up in 2010 to provide school books and materials in Africa. In 2025 it was decided to wind up the Charity and conduct the same activities through the Club to reduced administration costs. The Work continues!
