World Polio Day - Thursday 24 October

End Polio Now

On October 24th 2024, Rotary Internationally will be celebrating and promoting End Polio Day. 
In central Scotland Local Rotary Clubs: Bridge of Allan and Dunblane, Alloa, and Callandar and West Perthshire have arranged to floodlight the National Wallace Monument in the colour purple.
The colour purple is used to readily identify those who have been inoculated, who have their 'pinkie' dyed purple.,
The Rotary campaoign End Polio is supported by the Gates Foundation (Bill and Melinda) by matching grant, £2 from the Gates Foundation for every £1 raised by Rotary
