Primary School Quiz Friday 10 March 2023

Six teams of Primary School pupils took part in the Rotary Primary School Quiz at St Mary's Halls Dunblane on Friday afternoon 10 March.   Quiz Master John Kilby welcomed the teams from Queen Victoria School, Bridge of Allan Primary, St Marys Primary, Dunblane Primary, Newton Primary and Fairview International.  He also welcomed many parents and teachers.

There were 10 rounds of questions and scoring after each round was very close.

After six rounds and a break for refreshments John challenged the teams with the last four rounds and again scoring was so close that a tie breaker round was necessary to find the winner on the day which was Newton Primary by one point from Bridge of Allan Primary and Fairview International finished a very close third.

Rotary organiser for the event Lawrie Orr, presented certificates and prizes to the teams and winners.  He went on to thank the pupils for taking part and for the teachers and parents for supporting the pupils.

The winners Newton Primary School will take part in the Rotary Area finals in Blairgowrie in Mid April.
