Primary School Quiz 8 March @Cathedral Hall Dunblane 15.30
On Friday afternoon, all 5 local Primary Schools along with parents, teachers and friends assembled at the Cathedral Hall in Dunblane for the first round in this year’s Primary School Quiz. Quizmaster Peter Hill took the teams through ten rounds of questions on a wide range of topics. Scores were very close, with the lead changing hands during the quiz. At the end, it was a tie between Newton and St Mary’s Episcopal at 112 points each out of a maximum of 120. A set of tie break questions didn’t resolve the outcome so it went to a ‘sudden death’ question on which Newton just beat St Mary’s to clinch the title. Newton will now go on to the Area round.
