Thusday 26 January was a super night for members and guests at the Westlands, when the annual Burns Supper, organised this year by John Kilby, was held.
The chairman for the evening was Alastair Mackie, with his usual wit and presence.
Piper William Adam from QV School piped in the haggis prepared by Eve.
Then Lawrie Orr had everyone's attention with his articulated address to the haggis.
After a lovely meal Forbes Gould, President of Greenloaning Burns Club gave the Immortal Memory, with a journey from Burn's time to the present day.
The young performers from QV School entertained with Burns sung in Gaelic and Scots and musical pieces on harp and clarinet.
Stuart Brown proposed the Toast to the Lassies with some carefully chosen amusing stories and the response given by Liz Balding had the assembly laughing in their seats.
Sarah Aldred sang a beautiful Scottish Ballad.
To end the performances David Sibbald from Carse of Stirling Rotary Club performed Tam O' Shanter, complete with his own review of the year slotted nicely within tthe Burn's work.
Kohn Kilby thanked all the performers for a really super evenings entertainment, echoed by the applause from the floor. President Nick thanked John for organising and everyone for coming along to make it such an enjoyable event.
