Annual Local Heat of the Rotary Primary School Quiz at Church Hall Bridge of Allan
Last Friday afternoon, teams from Bridge of Allan,
Dunblane, St Mary’s Episcopal, Newton and Queen Victoria primary schools took
part in the 2016 local heat of Rotary District 1010 annual Primary Schools Quiz,
held in Bridge of Allan Parish Church Hall.
Quizmaster Peter Hill and question setter and IT manager Alan Lee were joined by several club members to welcome a great turnout of supporters - parents, staff and pupils. A lively and fun filled afternoon saw 5 contestants. including 1 reserve, answering questions on Environment, Literature, Current Affairs, Maths, History, Sport, General Science, Geography and Spelling as well as a picture round.
It was an exciting contest with the lead changing several times during the quiz but Dunblane eventually came out top following a tie break round with Bridge of Allan.
Congratulations to the Dunblane team who will now compete in the Area Final in the Albert Halls in Stirling on Saturday 19 March at 14.00.
