The annual Burns Supper was held at the Westlands Hotel on Thursday 29 January.
Master of Ceremonies, Alasdair Mackie, welcomed members, partners and guests, including visitors from Alloa and Callander Rotary Clubs and the Queen Victoria School Interact Club.
Making a welcome return were pupils from Dunblane High School Trad and Chorus Groups who entertained us with a selection of pieces including vocals performed by Matthew McKinney, Holly Jarvis and Karla Grant and their piper, Evan Raymond.
The haggis, carried by Eve Isles McLeerey, was piped in by Ryan McDougall from Queen Victoria School and Warwick Adams treated us to a spirited Address to the Haggis. Hannah Sloan, QV Interact President gave the Selkirk Grace and, after the meal, honorary member Eric Abell gave an excellent Immortal Memory.
The Toast to the Lassies was by John Kilby and the reply was from Gill Carrie, both giving their own humorous take on this light hearted exchange of views. Alan Lee then amused the audience with his 'interpretation' of the Address to the Haggis but with a Yorkshire twist.
President Peter Farr thanked all the performers for their efforts before a very memorable evening wound up with the traditional singing of Auld Lang Syne.
