8 schools were represented at the area final in a packed Lesser Albert Hall in Stirling on Saturday 27 April. Hosted by Stirling Rotary, the schools wre set 6 questions in each of ten rounds, including General knowledge, spelling, maths and geography.
It was a very close contest with the lead changing almost each round. After 10 rounds, Strathdevon and Viewlands Primary Schools were level on 102 points so there was a tie break round which saw Viewlands emerge as overall winner. Both these teams go through to the District final.
Bridge of Allan had a great performance and were in the lead up till the last round where they were just pipped at the post.
Vocational chair, Lawrie Orr attended the school's assembly an 3 May and presented the team members with a trophy to commemorate their excellent performance.
