On 27 October 2022 two guest speeakrs - Steve Bendell and Andrew Green - visited the Club and gave an interesting and very enlightening presentation about the role of the Blood Bikers. Unbeknown to many, these bikers transport important medical samples and supplies paricularly blood urgently required, between those in need especially in hospitals.
The bikers in the meeting were from Blood Bikes Wales but the sytem of using bikers extends throughout the whole of the UK.
All those involved from the contollers to those riding the bikes is all on a voluntary basis - there is no payment to anyone. There is no help provided by the government or NHS -- everything relies on charity.
