We have supported various local charities this year including the Parents Action Group Pantomime, Open Mind Christmas Dinner, Rushmoor in Bloom local school projects as well as fund-raising through selling "glow products" at the Council Fireworks in Manor Park, Aldershot.
We also support a wide range of care charities by providing days out on the Basingstke canal through Accessible Boating when Rotarians crew the Dawn, a narrow boat converted to take wheelchairs.
The BBQ season seems to last all year now and Rotarians provide a dedicated team to support charities with fund-raing days and other events in all waethers. The money raised and awareness created adds good value to Rotary's image.
Other charities we have supported include Home Start and donating ten televisions and DVD players to North Lane Lodge.
