FUND A FENCE PROJECT AT FIVE ACRES

Today, our President David Hogg visited Five Acres Community Garden and presented Manager, Charlote Iceton with a cheque towards their 'Fund a Fence' project. Construction can not begin on the planned respite centre until the site is fenced and secure and Gavin Iceton told us the work is about to begin. That is great news.
Whilst visiting Five Acres, we asked Gavin and Debbie about their recent Paul Harris Fellow awards presented to them by Rotary because of their amazing work in the community. Gavin said how shocked and surprised they were to receive them. Debbie commented, 'It is absolutely wonderful to receive these awards - they are so precious and meaningful to our Family. Dad will be looking down on us now and he will be so proud'.
They went on to say, 'Five Acres is our passion and this project has really enriched our lives beyond belief. We would like to thank Rotary for the fencing sponsorship and also for the very kind donation of IPADS which are being used on a daily basis'.
