A phone call from the local police to our Welfare Officer, Rotarian Geoff Batchelor, meant a visit to their Santa’s Grotto in the town centre today.

A phone call from the local police to our Welfare Officer, Rotarian Geoff Batchelor, meant a visit to their Santa’s Grotto in the town centre today. They requested assistance in the provision of Christmas gifts to those families who just need a little extra help at this time of year.

Rotary and Geoff were more than happy to supply a few bags of goodies and these were handed over to PCSO Sarah Button and her colleagues at the grotto this morning. Also present was Santa, Mrs Claus and those naughty elves dealing with a huge queue of families waiting patiently to see Santa. Many thanks to Newton Aycliffe Police and Community Spirit Newton Aycliffe for providing this wonderful free attraction
