The Rotary Club of Newton Aycliffe held its 40th anniversary at Woodham Golf & Country Club on Saturday 8th July 2017. Members and guests celebrated not only this special occasion but also its achievements over the past years. Currently the club continues to attract members and we all hope that it continues to support our communities, at home and further afield, over the forthcoming years.
The accompanying photographs show members and guests gathering on the patio for pre-dinner drinks. Then our Sergenat--Arms, Don Walker giving clear instructions to our club's founding member and long-serving Rotarian Geoff Batchelor to keep it breif and not to send the guests to sleep.
The final photograph portrays Geoff giving an overview of the club's history which included the develoment of the nature reserve, the Blue Bridge Project, the Christmas Collections and the annual Golf Competition much of which can be viewed on the "What do we do?" page.
